Thank you to the families that helped make our buddy thanksgiving feast a big success. The feast and the centers before them could not have been possible without the parent volunteers that donated their time and the families that supplied the ingredients and food for our feast. I know this was an event that you child will not forget!
Don't forget about tomorrow's (Monday) November learning luncheon. During this luncheon the children will share their published personal narrative writing pieces. We have been working on this unit since mid September. Throughout this unit the children learned how to take their life's small moments and turn them into a narrative story. It has been amazing to see how each child has progressed throughout this unit as a writer. The children's writing is more descriptive, better detailed, and more organized. We are excited to share these writing pieces as we celebrate our writing during tomorrow's learning luncheon. We hope you can make it! Our luncheon will take place during the children's lunch and recess times - 12:05 - 12:55. Remember to bring a lunch for you and your child!
Throughout this short week we will reflect on our writing, the children will write an on-demand writing piece to prove all they have learned in this writing unit, and of course work in reading workshop. This week in writing the children will continue to study the characters in the books and stories they read.
There is no spelling or vocabulary tests this week due to the short week! The children will continue to study the crayfish in science with Mrs. Aupperle.
Have a restful and peaceful Thanksgiving holiday. Enjoy the time with your family!
Thank You!
Andrew
